White Gold is a timeless, classic colour scheme. Here we have combined gold accessories with white table linen and chair covers, rather than ivory, to give an up to date & fresher look.
A gold heart favour box contains the traditional 5 sweets and doubles up as the place card with computer generated name tags.
A church candle inside a hurricane lamp is surrounded by large creamy white roses and dark green foliage. Gold table numbers in a mirrored frame continue the glamour of this theme. A simple loop of gold ribbon provides colour on the napkins. Gold underplates provide an extra touch of luxury.
Various shades of pink and green ribbon are used to add subtle colour on the table. A variation on this would be to used pink and green table runners on alternate tables.
Napkins are tied with hot pink organza ribbon and a bright green satin ribbon brightening up the scheme and bringing it up to date.
The centerpiece is a delicate birdcage with a small flower arrangement placed inside. The table number continues the soft colour scheme.
Organza chair sashes help provide a soft wash of colour-satin would be too heavy in this setting, use on every chair or every other chair to save on the budget but still create the soft image.
Satin lilac table cloths provide a colourful backdrop and combine well with hot pink organza chair sashes.
If you have a large reception, prevent the scheme from being too strong by keeping white clothes on selected tables, but add hot pink rose petals and/or lilac table crystals instead to keep the theme running throughout the room. The centerpiece uses brightly coloured pink and purple flowers with bright green foliage whilst a polka dot ribbon on the pot keeps the scheme informal.
A simple white cake can be decorated with the same ribbon and the couples’ initials. The cake table is easily brought into the scheme by using a table runner or chair sash and some simple matching accessories.
Match the favours to the colour scheme but vary for male and female guests.
Rich, bold purple combined with silver has proved popular with our brides over the past winter and looks set to continue in 2010. This colour scheme is a current decorating trend for interiors so items like tea-lights and topiary trees could work well in your home and provide a little reminder of the big day.

A luxurious and elegant choice which uses mirrors, crystals and diamante to provide colour and texture as an all ivory scheme can look very pale, especially in a large room.
The flowers are traditional large cream roses, adding bright green foliage to lift the scheme in preference to only dark green, these areplaced in high quality glass globe vases to provide sparkle. Set these on top of mirrored centre places and scatter clear table crystals to add to the glamour of this theme.
Tall candelabras add drama but still allow guests to talk across the table.

A dramatic and contemporary wedding theme that is popular, particularly when the reception dress code is black tie and evening dress.
Start the story with a black and white invitation, and use black chiffon to decorate the plates and add depth to the scheme.
The favours can match the evening dress code of your guests, with the tuxedo holding a miniature bottle and the tulle covers a votive candle, or fill with silver or white dragees.
The cake table is decorated with black and white accessories, and the cake simple decorated with black lace, flowers and diamante initials.
